Malaysian Society for Microbiology Postgraduate Seminar (MSMPS2016)

The Malaysian Society for Microbiology Postgraduate Seminar 2016 (MSMPS2016) is an initiative by the Malaysian Society for Microbiology to revive the previously organised Postgraduate Seminar under the auspices of UNESCO. Through this event we hope to set the stage again for these seminars to be a platform for students from various universities nationwide to come collectively to share, interact, learn and network through the various oral, poster and interaction opportunities presented over the one day seminar. 

       As indicated by the theme; we endeavour to provide the students with an educating and learning opportunity where they are exposed to the advancements in the field of Microbiology. Encouraging and supporting excellence in human resource development. This year the MSMPS2016 is being hosted by Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia as joint organiser of this event. We are expecting about 100-150 postgraduate students from nationwide at this one day seminar. Seven areas of microbiology will be presented over concurrent sessions and a poster session. As in previous years, the Best Oral and Poster Awards will be given out to excellent presentations.  Selected  research articles  submitted by participants will be vetted for publication in a book under Penerbit UKM. In addition, this year we will also be launching the American Society for Microbiology Student Chapter. This will further create a platform for our students to network internationally.
